Summary:

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the financial processes in their assigned functional area. The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

Core Functions:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and 5-year financial plans for supply chain (purchasing and logistics).
  • Analyze operational and financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Utilize and optimize financial systems to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

2. Fixed Asset and Capital Project Oversight

  • Lead capital project financial analysis, providing insights into project viability and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely capital expenditure reporting.
  • Hold cross-functional teams accountable to timelines and budgets.

3. Cost Control and Optimization

  • Monitor and control supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.

4. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, forecasts, and variance analyses & present to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

5. Internal Controls

  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

6. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Use insights to influence and drive team members to take appropriate actions.

  • Basic knowledge of GAAP.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency; Strong in Excel; PowerBI knowledge a plus.

Education & Experience:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or finance, including significant accounting coursework.

Preferred:

  • 3 years of experience in similar accounting or finance role; experience in the manufacturing industry

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive reading to perform the core functions listed in this job description. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

Travel:

Up to 4 weeks of business travel per year is required.
